I moved to DC in December, finding a job was a terrible time. It encouraged me to start thinking deeper about my future, in doing so I came up with a plan to get into the dental field. First step was to get registered as a dental assistant. After days of research, I ran across Hands On DAT. I had a conversation with Ms. Fatima and she put me in touch with Ms. Aretha. After days of communicating, she invited in to visit the class. I quickly fell in love with the environment and sense of family. At that time I couldn’t quite afford the class, instead of turning me away Ms. Aretha took me under her wing and put me in touch with resources to help me. Not only that she went above and beyond for me. Not only as a mentor but also a motherly figure, seeing as I didn’t have anyone here in DC. She’s very patient and kind… definitely someone who will go the extra mile for her students, future students or just anyone in need. If you’re thinking about the next steps in your dental career, trying to take the first steps or just want a job to make good money right now.. I urge you you to reach out to Ms. Aretha at Hands on DAT , you won’t regret it. I look forward to my time in class with her as my instructor.

I really enjoyed my time here at hands on as a student, especially with Ms. Tanya as my instructor! The curriculum was very easy to follow and prepared us well for every exam that we took and Ms. Fatima is such a wonderful instructor who is constantly reaching out to us even after we finished the program to provide us with more dental assisting opportunities to help expand our careers!!. Honestly every instructor at this program is committed to making sure you do your absolute best to bring forth amazing results and are just overall super encouraging!
