Our family in San Diego CA has been going to Dra. Marina Hernandez O. in Tijuana for many decades. She may be the best dentist any of us have ever visited in any country. She is thorough, experienced, and very current & advanced in her methodology & technology (more so than many in USA). Many USA dentists have commented at the excellent workmanship of the crowns she has installed for me. None better, anywhere.

Don't know how many stars to give because
I went in here to see about a crown but she refused to see me and by "refuse", I mean she didn't accept me as a "walk in" and said she saw people "By Appt only", even though waiting area was completely empty and I just wanted her to look at the one molar and give me an estimate.
So, I actually think they were a little nervous because on this block, there are about 2-3 female dentists with small practices and they all had their doors locked and you had to either knock on door or ring a bell.
But They say it's "safe" to come to Tijuana and they're the ones who are most scared, because after she didn't see me, I went two doors down, where there was another female dentist and she did agree to see me, but while she had me waiting in the lobby "coincidentally" a neighbor arrived, which in my mind I think she texted her to come over.
I mean.. I don't blame them if they're scared because of what's going on over there, plus when I go to Tijuana I try to look "street" and leave the "preppy clothes" at home, so that I don't look like I'm carrying too much cash...lol!
So I came to this office first, because I liked what it said on the window about background and credentials, plus I wanted a female because I think they're not only better at everything but especially at being careful while doing detail work.
It's a shame that they have to second guess people's intentions due to what happens in Tijuana.
By the way I've seen dentists/Doctors close to Border before or even by Plaza Rio and it seemed to be okay over there but Downtown were I found them to be most nervous 🙁
